I can finally settle into the Spring season since the weather is more consistent and much warmer.
It’s been a real drag in my neck of the woods with low temperatures and bursts of shower storms. This past weekend, the sun was finally shining so I whipped out my favorite Spring outfit and headed to the ice cream shop.
I have owned this skirt for a few years and it remains one of my spring staples. I remember when I purchased it, I always wore it with a white t-shirt adorned with lace patches around the collar. Unfortunately, I had to say “bye-bye” to that shirt when it shrunk (ever so slowly… only teasing me and making me think, “Oh, well I could get another use out of this!”) and when the yellow pit stains were just too difficult to wash out.
This season, I decided to complete my look with a chambray shirt to offer more texture in my outfit. I love it tucked in for a more sophisticated feel, but I can also imagine tying it with a front knot for a more casual (and somewhat more comfortable) look.
Of course, I headed out of the house the moment I saw the beautiful weather and took my nieces out for ice cream. A perfect day calls for a perfect treat, and my chocolate sundae (with half vanilla and half chocolate soft-serve) was just so satisfying.
