2017: A Bowlful of Content

Excited for a new year: new food, new recipes, new discoveries!

Most people welcome the new year with a long list of resolutions. I, on the other hand, am ready to serve you a bowlful of content.

Shortly before 2017 took 2016’s place, I knew I didn’t want to go crazy with my New Year’s resolutions. With our little one on his way, I didn’t want to pressure myself with a list of deadlines and ‘annual chores.’ Besides, I was always one to approach the new year with goals rather than resolutions.

Now, don’t get me wrong: Joe and I are starting a whole new chapter in our lives. Naturally, we’ve got big plans for our growing family. Of course, Marble Crumbs is definitely a part of our plans and is a project that we want to further develop. After a brief and unannounced hiatus, I plan on making MC your go-to for food stories and recipes. Yep, I’ve got a bowlful of content that I’m ready to serve your way! I couldn’t be more excited.

So, here’s a brief list:

Okay, so I’m somewhat of a control freak (see here on my personal blog) and decided that a small, humble list would suffice. I just couldn’t do without one. Of course, I didn’t want to overwhelm myself because I’ve got so much on my plate (literally!). Here’s a short list of what I’d like to accomplish for Marble Crumbs this year:

  • Provide readers with a new recipe once a week
  • Try out at least 5 new restaurants
  • Attend a food photography seminar/course

Yup, it’s as simple as that. Why pressure myself to complete resolutions on a tight deadline when I’ve already accomplished something so big? Safe to say, I’m eager to meet our baby boy and be a mom!

  1. Sounds great to me! I dont even do anything or have New Years goals. I generally just treat it like a normal day and like nothing has changed. I really need to have some more goals.

  2. Food is an awesome topic and it’s nice to be able to share it with your readers on the blog. I think it’s fun to be able to try out restaurants and just practice your food photography skills!
