What a wonderful day! I know Easter is just around the corner, but when I learned that March 23 would be ‘National Chips and Dip Day,’ I had to call for a celebration. My celebration extended to picking up my favorite bag of rippled potato chips (because they’re the best for dipping!) and some cool, ranch sauce. Ta-da! Celebration complete. (Okay, I guess it doesn’t take much to impress me)
My earliest memory of chips and dip is one with my sister. With our nine-year age difference, I always felt like whatever she was up to was just so incredibly cool. One day, she walked into my room with a bowl of chips (rippled, no less) and a ranch-onion dip combination, flicked on the television, and together, we munched on our snack and spent the whole afternoon in each other’s company. Since I was just a little girl, this bonding moment was the highlight of my entire day (okay, probably week). It was also my first time trying her favorite ranch-onion dip and I was really impressed (obviously, as it’s still ingrained in my mind).
How are you all celebrating? Maybe with a mix of Easter eggs and chocolate? Enjoy your Chips and Dip Day!
Haha, I did not know there was a national chips day1 That’s pretty awesome. My fave growing up was sour cream and onion dipped into ranch. Oh man, those are good memories!

Coffeeslag,
Love your chip story! Sour cream and onion is one of my faves, definitely!
i can’t believe I missed chip and dip day! i love chips and when i see a bowl or bag out i go straight for it. but I especially eat them to cure a hangover. A bag of lays regular potato chips seems to do the trick so i stick to it =o)

The Adventurer,
I enjoy Lay Regular chips as well! I’m not too interested in bold flavors because they take away from my beloved dips!
